IN THE WORD THIS WEEK:

James 4James – Faith That Endure: In lesson #2 of our church-wide study in James, we examined God’s plan and purpose for the challenges in life we encounter. We learned the difference between trials, testing, and temptation. We also studied Biblical joy and wisdom.

For Discussion:

  1. Consider a current or recent life challenge.  Would you describe this as a trial, test, or temptation?
  2. How do you think God wants you to deal with this?
  3. What might God be trying to teach you through this?

TetheredWednesday Youth Group: In our fourth week of “Tethered: Climbing in Security” we’re examining how the Holy Spirit brings safety and security to our daily lives. This week, in “Reaching the Top”, we studied how the Holy Spirit can be our source of joy in even the most challenging situations.

For Discussion:

  1. What struggles are you facing that could rob you of your joy?
  2. What can help us endure with joy through our struggles?
  3. What do you think God is trying to teach you through this struggle?
