I have to admit, I love a good road trip, which is why I enjoyed our Christian College Trip last week so much.  Our upperclassmen got to visit five schools. While on the road, we had plenty of opportunity to talk about our futures, and what God has in store for us.

IN THE WORD THIS WEEK:

Radical PP Toolbox 3Sunday School: This past week we began the church-wide study, “Radical”.
  • Lesson 7: There is No Plan B (John 14:1-6).
  • Our main points were:
    1. Christ followers trust in Jesus with great expectation. (John 14:1-2).
    2. Christ followers wait for Jesus to return for them. (John 14:3).
    3. Christ followers know that Jesus is the only way to the Father. (John 14:4-6).
  • Our memory verse is John 14:6.
Wednesday Youth Group: In our current series we’re studying ways we can pursue Christ and stay closely connected to Him.

“Start Reading” We learned how to get more out of our personal Bible reading

Memory Verse: Acts 17:11

Follow-Up Discussion: (use these to talk with your teen about what they’re learning)

  1. What are some of the reasons that you might not read the Bible regularly?
  2. Which of the 4 suggestions was most meaningful? Relationally, Expectantly, Attentively, or Daily?
  3. What can you do to make Bible reading a part of your daily life?
