My family and I are just back from a relaxing week of stay-cation, making memories with grandparents from Colorado. While the break was nice, it’s good to be back. I enjoyed our time together tonight.

There’s a lot going on this time of year – so make sure you checkout the details below.

IN THE WORD THIS WEEK:

Radical PP Toolbox 3Sunday School: This past week we began the church-wide study, “Radical”.
  • Lesson 3: Beginning at the End of Ourselves (John 15:1-11).
  • Our main points were:
    1. By abiding in Christ, we fulfill God’s plan that we bear much fruit. (John 15:1–3).
    2. By abiding in Christ, we show God’s glory as we bear much fruit. (John 15:4-8).
    3. By abiding in Christ, we experience God’s love, which brings us joy (John 15:9–11).
  • Our memory verse is John 15:5.

Wednesday Youth Group: We’re currently in the mini-series: “Bulls Eye – A Narrowed Focus on Christ”. We will zero in on how we can make Christ the central focus of our lives.

Lesson 3 of 4 – “Finding the Missing Peace” We learned that true peace comes only as a result of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Memory Verse: John 16:33

Follow-Up Discussion: (use these to talk with your teen about what they’re learning)

  1. What do you see in our world that shows it lacks peace?
  2. What makes resting in God so difficult when you are in situations that make us worry?
  3. What are some things that you can do when you begin to worry or sense fear?
