Reminder: There are no IMPACT services or Youth Group on 4/16/14 or 4/23/14, as we’re on Easter Break.  I hope you enjoy a little extra family time.

Spaghetti Dinner 2Spaghetti Dinner & Dessert Auction: This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  The proceeds from this event go to help the students participating in Summer Camp and our Summer Mission Trip to Greater Cleveland.  We can use your help and support in several areas:

  1. Auction Items: We’re still looking for tasty bakery or teen services (cleaning, babysitting, etc.,) to auction off.  If you’re able to help with this, please email me @ DAdams@phbaptist.org.
  2. Setup: We need help setting up tables, decorating, etc.  We’ll be at the church from 9:00 am – 10:30 am.  You can sign-up for this here.
  3. Spaghetti Dinner: This is an “all hands on deck” event.  Whether you’re attending a summer trip or not, we can use your help.  Details and sign-up are here.

In the meantime – consider inviting some friends and join us for Experience Easter, this Thursday and Friday evenings.

IN THE WORD THIS WEEK:

mark_tSunday School: This past week we examined Christ’s power over demons from Mark 5.  We closed our time with a discussion on spiritual warfare.

VictorWednesday Youth Group: This evening we took a look at how Christ’s victory over sin and death gives us power and victory for life each day.

For Follow-Up:

  1. What are some of the strategies we discussed to help us find victory over sin and temptation?
  2. How does Christ’s victory while He lived here on earth translate to power and victory for living our lives?
