IN THE WORD THIS WEEK

TGPSundays – The Gospel Project: The Bible is not simply a collection of stories. It is one story of God’s plan to rescue His people from sin and death. It is the story of redemption, the gospel message of Jesus Christ. And it’s our story too. Through this Christ-centered chronological study of the Bible, we’ll see how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus. We’ll discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history and what that means for us today. We’ll also examine major Bible doctrines as they are revealed in Scripture.

Life-in-6-Words-Main-300x175Wednesday Youth Group – Life in 6 Words: In this 7 week video series, we’ll explore the main components of the Gospel. The goals are to clearly understand the gospel, personally accept the gospel, and be equipped to boldly articulate the gospel. The video utilizes the viral video – Life in 6 Words.

For Discussion from Session 3 – OUR sins separate us from God:

  1. Scripture: Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:9-10
  2. It’s not just Adam and Eve’s sin that messed things up – we sin every day. Our sins separate us from God. What does it look/feel like to be distant and separated from God?
  3. What’s the appropriate response when we realize that our own sin is separating us from God? (1 John 1:9-10)
